North Carolina has between 30-40 different species of fireflies. Similarly, The Carolina Firefly Project identifies, illuminates, and strengthens the unique characteristics and contributions of individuals and families. We are a for-profit/nonprofit partnership focused on economic mobility.

Anchored at Dudley High School in Greensboro's underserved District 1 neighborhood, The Carolina Firefly Project is powering the work of Dudley's PTSA and galvanizing support for Dudley and the surrounding community. Our goal is to see at least 50 families in and around east Greensboro improve their economic mobility (ex. move above the poverty line) and quality of life by the end of 2027.

This initiative consists of 2 high impact programs (Parent Cafè and Life Design). The Carolina Firefly Project is being executed in partnership with Spark GSO, who is leading a documentary film project that illuminates Dudley's unique historical contributions. Spark GSO and their founder, Theron Smith, will also be memorializing the Parent Cafè and Life Design work we're doing currently through TCFP.

With a gift to The Carolina Firefly Project, you will energize our mission to equip individuals and families in east Greensboro to build the authentic, strong networks necessary for sustainable upward mobility and quality of life.
